Thank you for visiting our site. It’s a pleasure to answer your question. Regarding the EEG sessions that you were referring, it is also known as neurofeedback training. We always call neurofeedback a brain exercise. It is a safe and non-invasive exercise. Neurofeedback is used by many around the world for peak performance. We believe you can benefit from it as well.
We have established neurofeedback protocols for variety of conditions, including
a) Recovery - for those who are mentally drained or exhausted
b) Reducing anxiety and depression
c) Recharging for peak performance
d) Increasing focus and attention and etc.
If you like to be more specific, we often do a Brain Mapping (or QEEG) to assess the state of the mind and how one utilizes his/her brain while on tasks. This can also reveal a lot about one's behavioral tendencies and character as well. From this Brain Mapping, we can derive specific protocols for you.
As for the neurofeedback sessions, other than our in-house sessions, we have a home-training program for overseas clients like you. You can rent a system home say for six months. If you like the training outcome, you can then convert it into a purchase. However, for home training, you will be required to attend a home training workshop to ensure that you can use the neurofeedback system properly.

We have helped many children autistic children to better self-regulate and improve in their behavior.
Hair analysis can identify some of the problems that may be affecting their behavior. Most of the time, we find that they are deficient of the nutrients that calms the mind down so that it can rest and recover. But there could be other compounding factors such as toxic elements like mercury from fish and sea foods. These can be revealed through a hair analysis. we might also recommend a urine test for organic acids and peptides, and possibly a food allergy test (panel of 96 types of Asian foods)
We also routinely do a brain mapping or QEEG analysis. In this assessment, we measure the brainwaves that a person sends out while doing tasks such as reading or problem solving. By analyzing the emitted brainwaves, it is possible to identify the maturity of specific parts of the brain, how they utilize their brain and which parts are fatigued/ exhausted. With this information, we can design a brain exercise program using neurofeedback to help them to recover. The best part is that these are non-invasive. We only measure what the brain sends out. Using neurofeedback, we have helped many autistic children to calm down and self-regulate in areas such as temper tantrums, rigidity and sensitivity to touch and sound.

It would be ideal if you could wait until sufficient virgin, untreated hair emerge to allow for sampling. But for those with no major health concern, colored hair is acceptable as the chemical used in coloring is different from those being tested.
We suggest you check out our Frequently Asked Question page here. We have listed all possible concerns that one might encounter should they be undergoing Hair Analysis.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis or HTMA will reveal some of the information such as exposure to and accumulation of toxic metals; nutritional mineral deficiency or excesses, metabolism rate, certain food allergies. You can use it as a tool to design your own dietary and supplementation plan. For example, if report shows that your body is lacking in Magnesium, with some simple research on the internet, you would know which food groups you should increase your intake in order to balance your Magnesium level in the body. Similarly with toxic metal, if your body is exposed to toxic metals as indicated in report, precaution should be taken to avoid or eliminate the source of exposure.
Everyone has a different nutritional profile, this will help you to decide which are the supplements that are suitable for your body and those that are not. Some common feedback after implementing their personalised dietary/ supplementation plan includes increased in energy level, better sleep quality, stronger immune system-seldom fall sick, improved digestion just to name a few.

Yes, it is essentially a skill which you learnt to regulate your brainwaves. It is a skill which can be internalised. Just like how we acquire the skill of swimming / cycling. It is good to note that while the training effect/ skill learnt is sustainable, one is still subjected to various stressors from the environment like change in lifestyle, occurrence of traumatic events, migration, stress coping strategies etc. All these inevitably can counter the effect of training. It is recommended to do a few booster sessions to "fine-tune" and for more reinforcements. Usually minimal amount of sessions is needed as the brain has already acquired the skills of regulating its brainwaves

Neurofeedback can be viewed as a form of exercise for the brain. We can exercise the brain at various locations to achieve improvements in awareness, behavior and learning. Some parts of the brain can be activated through physical exercise and sound. But there are many areas that exercise or sound cannot reach. These areas need neurofeedback to activate or calm down.

So far, we do work with children as young as 4 years old. To get them engaged, feedback such as video or music that are attractive to them are being played. They would be watching the video and attempting to play it. This happens quite instinctively.

Neurofeedback has attained a high success rate for children with ADHD. You may locate various studies done on this group of children on the internet.
There are many different subtypes of ADHD. The tricky part is to acknowledge which subtype they belong to. This can be derived through an assessment known as QEEG brain mapping. With the information acquired via QEEG, we are able to design a tailored program for your child.
For autistic individuals, the biochemistry plays a very important role. Presence of toxic elements, bacteria and yeast and mineral imbalances are often observed in autistic children. For a start, a basic hair tissue mineral analysis will give you a good overview of the biochemistry.
The duration of neurofeedback training depends on a vast number of factors. They include but are not limited to, the biochemistry of the child which leads to the agility of the brain. Contact us for a preview so that we may see your child’s brainwaves in real time and advise you accordingly.

I am unable to get the right help for my son in my country but i have heard about you through our parent network and wondering if you could help me with my child with the neurofeedback therapy?

Seizures may be the cause of limited or no communication in your child. Specific sites of the brain are responsible for language output. Should seizures happen at these locations, it will impair the ability for one to speak. Not only so, with each seizures, some cells may face exhaustion and died eventually. Having said that, the frequency and location affected by seizures are very crucial information to ensuring the road of recovery. A QEEG brain mapping is therefore highly recommended. With the information acquired, we may be able to detect the primary factor causing seizures and normalize it with neurofeedback therapy.
Our years of experience with seizures cases has given us a good edge. Our clients with seizures conditions have not only reduced the frequency of their seizures but have also stopped or reduced the dosage of their medication.

Is your program a single one that is able to help all children with any difficulties that is not restricted to just academically but mentally and emotionally as well? Or are there may different variations in the programs to cater to different needs?

Environmental factors often play an important role in a child’s behavioural changes. We often witness this when a child is required to adapt to his or her new environment.
Neurofeedback is capable of addressing both behavioural problems as well as academic issues. Then again, it is important to objectively prioritize the objectives. In your case, a well regulated behaviour may be the solution to your problem. Calming down of the right hemisphere through music interface may allow the brain to manage on its own. This will in turn increase the motivation to study.

With the different environmental stimulis presented, our brain often become exhausted or fatigue or under aroused. As such, it is necessary to provide the brain with a guide so that it is capable of normalizing itself and achieve peak performance. Having said that, once the brain is capable of performing at its optimal, neurofeedback therapy is not required.

1) I am currently studying the Advance Dip in Counselling Psychology at Linguistic, and actually was thinking to continue with a Bachelor in Counselling. But now I am really interested in this Neurotherapy.
a) Is it still ok for me to proceed with the Bac in Counselling and then move to Neurotherapy
b) or would a Bac in Psychology be a better move towards this direction and then a Masters in Psychology
2) How can I be a certified Neurotherapist?

There are no body regulating neurofeedback in Singapore at the moment. As such, there is no hard and fast rule as to which route will be a better option. Then again, it is important to understand the different mental conditions present in the society at the moment. The knowledge of neuro-anatomy will definitely be beneficial and essential when you enter into the neurofeedback industry. Such course is usually offered in psychology program.
To be a certified neurotherapist, one has to attend our practitioner’s course.

Depression is often the resultant of depressed frontal regions. Neurofeedback is capable of exercising the cells in the frontal area so that they may become more active and thus translating to better mood regulation.
